In [April](http://www.4syndication.com/content.do?id=7159&blog=17), I wrote about Wal-Mart's strategy to take on Target.

Does this announcement have anything to do with what I described as Wal-Mart's failure to stick to what made it special? I can't answer that, but I'd caution any business attracted to the light of 'big markets' at the expense of what makes it [special](http://www.4syndication.com/content.do?id=7854&blog=17).
